30,000 Joint Modules! Ningbo Joy-Motion Drive Subsidiary Formally Commences Production, Dedicated to Humanoid Robots

January 17th – Joy-Motion's Ningbo subsidiary, Ningbo Joy-Motion Drive Technology Co., Ltd., officially commenced operations and production. The launch of this new base marks a critical step in Joy-Motion's strategic manufacturing layout within the core industrial region of the Yangtze River Delta. It aims to enable more agile responses to market demands for robotic core components through localized production.

As a significant move to deepen its industrial chain presence, the Ningbo subsidiary will primarily undertake the large-scale production of harmonic drive joint modules. The specialized production lines at the new facility have an annual designed capacity of 30,000 units. This capacity will be focused on serving the rapidly emerging field of humanoid robots. The harmonic drive joint modules produced here are core components that form the dexterous limb and torso motion joints of humanoid robots. The establishment of this scale production aims to provide a stable and reliable supply of core motion units for both the R&D prototyping and future mass production of humanoid robots.

The series of harmonic drive joint modules now in production is specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements for joint motion units in advanced applications like humanoid robots, featuring the following core characteristics:

 

1.  High Precision & Large Hollow Design: The products offer superior motion control precision, enabling more human-like and nuanced movements for robots. Their unique large hollow structure provides ample internal space for cable routing, facilitating the integration of power, signal, and sensor lines.
